Everyone stand up! Remove your hats and show respect. You have been graced with the presence of Miss Revielle. This is the mascot for the greatest college in America... Texas A&M University. Miss Revielle is so respected on campus that when one passes away and a successor is chosen the former is buried on campus in a cemetary for past mascots. She is such a fixture at football games that a scoreboard was placed on a wall facing the cemetary so she could she the score.

Just messin with you man, how long till college football season? Life just isn't complete without it - and I miss the feeling of routinely dismantling The aggies of Texas a&m. Hahahah

Mr. Whitlock: I will grant that my beloved Aggies have performed in a subpar manner over the last several years, we cannot ignore the past. The college football legacy of Texas A&M runs deeper and more distinguished than those bastards from Lubbock's. I also feel it bears mentioning that Texas A&M has at the very least a modicum of respect for its opponents. They would never rush the field after a big win. Not in their own field after beating #1 Oklahoma or on someone else's field after beating them. This brings to mind an incident which I believe you witnessed first hand if I am not mistaken. A few years ago your raiders beat my Aggies and rushed the field as if you just won a national championship. The aggies in attendance were gracious in their defeat and sorrow and your raiders felt it somehow appropriate to tear down the goal posts and hurl them in the aggie section of SBC Jones Stadium that Saturday afternoon. This was a sportsmanship travesty and embarrasment to the institution of Texas Tech University, but my how the raiders revelled in their assinine ways and praised the ne'er do wells with of all things tortillas (what ever the F**K that is supposed to mean). But we move on for there is always the promise of next year, and next year my friend is a mere six months away.

What the hell...... I just blacked out there. What did I just write? Yeah ok all that is true; but man six months is a long time to wait isn't it? Seriously though we need to go to the game this year and get hammered and fight this battle in person.

Ok, now my turn(lol):

The aggies were at the stadium way too long after they lost, interrupted our alma mater while it was being played and then proceeded to beat each other up through ugly aggie-on-aggie violence. Ouch.

History: you win (but the series it nearly tied between us)
Recent History (last 10 years or so): We win, big.

A&M has been getting owned by Texas Tech for years when they have "outrecruited" us on paper - but now we are both attracting the same level of talent, so we shall see what happens.

Here, ladies and gentleman, is the heart and soul of Texas college football: raw and unapologetic hatred for your rivals. I have it and I know the blogger of this site has it as well.

As a Texas A&M student/alum/fan the popular thing is to build a Texas Tech in your mind that is little more than a backwater, dusty piece of crap school who has no business beating the crap out of "historic" Texas A&M.
As a Texas Tech fan/alum/student the popular thing to do is laugh at how soapboxy and strangely delusional Texas A&M continues to be when the all-time series is nearly even and the 1939 trophy has been fairly dusty for a while. Not to mention the fact that the Texas Tech that we know and love has little to do with the Texas Tech that aggies build up in their heads.

Here's the deal: I love the Tech/A&M series. It's usually a decent game and Tech owns like 8 of the past 10 games, but I despise Texas A&M as much as my good friend despises Texas Tech, it's that simple. However, I like College Station and have had fun when I have been there - nice place. Here's the problem for Texas A&M: We seem to be going up while their future is in doubt. We have been able to attract the same caliber of player recently, and we are making massive upgrades on our facilties - and it hurts that A&M is never going to "assume their rightful place" ahead of Texas Tech again. (If it ever existed)

Either way, I love football, the smack talk and all the passion that comes along with it - and as much as I hate Texas A&M, I'd stick up for them in general before I'd stick up for the liberal freaks in Austin. Oh, and the Horns own both of us damnit.

Dude, what kind of Red Raider would I be if I didn't fire back on this thread?! Hahaha! Either way, we certainly need to get together to watch the game next year, that way you can hold the rope for me if A&M wins and I can hold the rope for you if Tech wins. See, it's a perfect situation for both of us.

You are correct sir. This truly is everything that is great about college football. And you have to have the edge in this argument for no other reason than you are an alum. I am just a life long fan who did not give myself the opportunity to attend Texas A&M.

Of course, in actuality I have not always despised Lubbock or Texas Tech. Lubbock is a pretty cool town and the campus at Tech is nice too. My feelings for them drastically changed on a frigid morning (Dec. 17, 2000) when I was returning from a rather enjoyable trip to Lubbock to visit you, sir. I was respectful of your raider ways and despite the Aggie hat (which I did leave in the car)I did nothing to anger the raider nation. Around 8am about 2 hours east of Lubbock Mrs. Raider Red pulled her car in front of me and proceeded to destroy my life. I totalled not only my beloved Monte Carlo but also my: credit, finances, guitar, and eventually my job. And I ( a certified car nut) spent 2 years without a ride. Since then the anger has grown at an alarming rate.

It does suck hard though that those f'ers in austin have owned us both. You know I really don't wish any bad luck on the red raiders except when they're playing the aggies. I hope sincerely that we both beat hell out of T.U. If I was hard pressed to answer I would say I hoped Tech goes 11-1 with a loss to A&M and the aggies were 12-0 and that we both would beat the sh*t out of everyone else. Espescially Texas and OU.

So let's make plans to be in College Station on Saturday September 30th, 2006 for a football game for both of us and a suicide for one of us. Because if Graham Harrell beats my aggies I will truly have to end it all.
